All about the A day in Petrópolis.

With mild climate, no shortage in the city of Petrópolis are tourist attractions and cultural, historical buildings and abundant vegetation. The city was founded by Emperor Dom Pedro II, also known as Imperial City.

Starting from Rio de Janeiro, will travel in a comfortable air-conditioned transport enjoying beautiful panoramic views of the Serra dos Orgãos.

Arriving in Petrópolis started the ride toward the former summer residence of Emperor Dom Pedro II, where he spent long seasons with your family before the proclamation of the Republic in 1889. The current Imperial Museum, which houses a collection of iconic pieces, like the famous Crown of the emperor. The scene reconstructs the daily life of the imperial family and presents cultural, social and economic aspects of Brazil in the 19th century.

Here you will know the history of Brazilian Empire and see what was the daily life of the imperial family.

The ride to the São Pedro de Alcântara Cathedral, an imposing Gothic construction, inspired by the French and German cathedrals. The next destination is the hotel Quitandinha, built in 1944 with the purpose of being the largest Casino in South America. We will stop for lunch, which is paid to the part, not included in the value of the tour.

After lunch, the guide will follow featuring spacious boulevards of Imperial City to the Crystal Palace, where the Princess Elizabeth promoted feasts and solemnities. Our next destination is the casa de Santos Dumont. His residence became a museum with collection of objects, books, letters, and furniture.

Follow then to Tereza Street, the famous shopping street in the Centre of Petrópolis, which has a pole of hundreds of shops, being the most protective clothing clothing (and priced super account!). We ended our tour of Petropolis in a delicious and tasty tour the chocolate factory Patrone, which was founded in 1913 and was a pioneer in the manufacture of Easter eggs in Brazil.
